1. Captain Jack Sparrow ---
2. Batman -- Cause he's freaken Batman!
3. Odysseus -- In the battle of "lasting power" Odysseus wins.
4. Indiana Jones -- The nazis were the original "Evil" Empire, and when Indy fought them, he usually did it ALONE and with a Bull Whip!
I hope round 7 will include battle for 3rd place.

2) Gandalf - What? Batman may be an American icon, but Gandalf's the man - er maiar. That and I got my username from him.
3) Oddyseus - Never watched Firefly sad to say, so this is a no brainer.

Couldn't vote for Odysseus after he was portrayed on "Xena" by an actor the fans dubbed "novacaine mouth"--he just sucked any energy out of each scene. And I just borrowed a friend's "Firefly" DVD set, so I think 'Mal' is sticking in my brain....
And Han's still cooler, even if Greedo shot first.

We all know Greedo sneezed and that Han Solo misinterpreted it as a blastershot (Rodian snot is deadly).
