[Green Ronin] Announcing the Book of Fiends

Seriously, though, it's a cooperative effort that just made sense and we were happy to do it!

Yes, let's just hope we see *MORE* of this sort of thing in the future... (wink, wink, nudge, nudge) ;)

I assume Chris likes the cover. I do, too. Aaron?

Very excited to see this.

I am quite deeeelighted with it.

I think it's exceptionally fiendish.

Let's hope you don't have to summon any of the things you write about any time soon eh, Stupendous? They tend to be "touchy" about that whole "correct pronunciation" bit. :D

I think the cover looks spectacular. I wanna work for flaming-eyeball-guy, he looks like the type that gets things sorted out proper.

Thought that I'd give this puppy a bump and see how it's coming along. Any sneak peaks at the new material or hints of the revised stuff?

One thing I forgot to ask is would the PrCs from Hell, the tie in to the old high level mega module, be updated and in place here?

Somehow, someway I'll get the money for this must buy, well, at least IMO it's a must buy. I'm definately looking forward to this one.

On a side note I just got my copy of Monsters of the Mind the other day. I've only gone through it once but I like what I see. I can't wait to use them IMC. :)

I suppose it's too much to hope that the Abraxas in this book doesn't go out of it's way to slander my religion, like the one in Armies of the Abyss did...

Reading over the entry in question, I have a difficult time seeing where any specific religion is targeted in any way.

Care to elaborate?

The Abraxas section refers frequently to Valentinian gnostic cosmography, but other than that I could detect no overt religious references. That said, many of the ideals of Valentinus' followers do have definite similarities to Buddhist thought and goals (escape of the trap of existence, etc).

Other than that, I dunno either.

So will WotC's new d20 "standards" have any effect on the Book of Fiends?

I hope not -- Armies of the Abyss & Legions of Hell had some terrifically villainous material in it; it would be a shame to see it watered down. :(

D20STL, bump

... Also, if Chris is an evil outsider, then what the heck is Aaron? Just confused? ;-)
