You had mentioned at the time of LoH and AoA that archfiend types couldn't be done justice without epic rules. Now epic rules are not only out, but in part integrated into the SRD. Any takes on stats for archfiends in BoF? Or pretty much mostly a conversion of what has already appeared?

Please don't integrate Epic rules by default, a lot of people don't find the Epic rules that enticing. I personally would prefer straight lvl. 1-20 rules in the BoF, with possibly some optional rules for making certain creatures into Epic creatures. Maybe Epic rules should even be in a seperate web update...

Epic creatures are a whole different ballpark, they're pretty unuseable in a regular (1-20) campaign (as opponents).

Um, why exactly would you need stats for archfiends if you weren't in an epic level campaign?

As for lesser epic creatures, I begtadiffer. I used some low-end epic creatures in a non-epic game as tough challenges. The creatures were the most interesting part of the book.
