Green Ronin to produce a new Song of Ice and Fire RPG

I just do not understand how this is exciting news for all gamers everywhere. It is nice news for fans of the books, but it is just another license. The gaming system could be cool and I would be interested in seeing their ideas there, but I keep coming back to this as just another license.

I don't think anyone said it's exciting news for "all gamers everywhere." It's exciting news for people who have read the novels; and that probably constitutes a lot of people within fantasy gaming. For people who have no interest in the novels it's just another forthcoming game book. It's no different then Conan, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, or any other licensed game book.

I noticed that three people, like me, have this game and have never played it. What if we did PBEM, I have never done that and don't really want to DM. But I would like to play this game. If you are interested maybe (and have maybe have DMed PBEM) we could move this to the gamers classified section. I can't do PM on this board.

I would be up for playing as I also have the rules but not sure I want to run (as everything I have tried here has failed and I don't want to fail again )
