D&D 5E Greenmtn's Planescape Game IC

Li Shenron

Legend
Sir Reginald sheathes his sword, straightens a bit the clothes coming out of his armor, then smiles at Khefren with a mix of pride and sense of duty in his voice: "Indeed I have dear gentleman, at least for tonight, as I am on routine patrol duties for the Harmonium. I thank you for your support in this little unpleasant but rightful scuffle... may I ask, are you or any of your comrades in need of medical assistance?"

"I'm fine. Thank you. I was lucky to not impale myself on those blades, though. Sorry for your armor by the way. This guy scratched it a bit. But I suppose he already paid for that crime.

Lex got a bump on... hum... one of his... corner, I guess. Are you ok Lex?

And this poor fellow is out. But I'm not sure if he's alive or not. "

OOC: Can Khefren tell if he is alive? Is it obvious? Medecine check: 5...

"Khefren! Thank you for this lovely stick! I will analyze it closely and submit to you my findings in the form of a lengthy treatise."

"Sir Reginald, if it lay within your capacities to mend the damage to my construction, I would greatly appreciate the help. I am otherwise uncertain that my winning smile will ever be able to operate at greater than 74% efficacy."

*Takes Leau's hand*

"And you, Leau, may have saved me from demolition. Though I have not calculated the odds that the fight would have ended in me being destroyed, it is because of your action that the trajectory of the trendline was diverted. Please think of me always as your friend, good and true, and know that so long as my cogware still turns, I will always be your date and your sincere ally in whatever tragedy I estimate will befall us."

*Starts walking, dragging an unconscious man by the arm like a dolly*

"Let'sall follow me to yet another undisclosed location!"

Sleepover at Lex's

Lex leads you all to an apparently abandoned building in the Slum that this city seems to call the Hive.

A colored torch burning next to the door brings Lex comfort. A distinct knock on the door gains him admission to the building from a thin muscular form in armor with a long sword in his hand. The form closes the door and escorts you to an inner room well enough lit for you to see her yellow skin and pointed ears. On the floor are a handful of filthy bedrolls and a small cookfire warms a pot of some kind of soup or broth.
"Nights friends better soon ready soup. Lezaka you are?" her voice is gruf, that of a seasoned soldier and her words string together in a kind of chaotic song barely any sense can be made of it without thinking, unless you are practiced at this type of speech pattern. Before anyone has a chance to respond she points to the unconscious man questioningly. "Story?"

OOC: Lezaka seems to be the only one here other than you and some rodents tonight. She has not put away her sword but her posture shows that it is more a caution than a threat. Go ahead and RP all you like I'll try to help conversations move along by posting more frequently if questions are asked but won't move the story forward until you guys are ready to go.

Unless you say otherwise I am assuming that you are taking a long rest here. After that combat please level up to 2nd level. I would like all of you to also have an inspiration dice to use.

(This response of Sir Reginald to Lex's words occurred while still on the street)

Sir Reginald takes a close look at the Modron, he's seen the kind before, and is aware that his Lay on Hands wouldn't work on constructs, so he tries to apologize as kindly as possible: "I am afraid dear sir, that I am unable to provide any help to your... wounds. My skills don't extend much beyond healing flesh and bones."

Seeing that nobody else is hurt, Sir Reginald would then just use Lay on Hands on himself (5hp regained, thus up to 10hp out of his max 11hp).

OOC: I know there has been talk about it with the Warforged.
Since they are living constructs that are "born" not built I have no problem giving Modrons full benefits from healing spells. I can't remember (That doesn't mean it isn't there) any precedent for them not receiving benefits from healing spells in previous versions of Planescape or in the 5e version I have. However I think it's a wonderful thing for Sir Reginald to not think it would work.

*Clutches Reginald's hand and shoves it into the open head wound, which is loaded with cold, wet material like a Halloween pumpkin full of scrap metal*

"That is a common misconception, Sir, regarding modron anatomy. Now, if you will follow my direction, I will guide your healing fingers to my primary response ampules, which regulate my self-repair protocol. Please exercise caution when applying pressure to them or you may activate the load regulator diaphragms."

"It was already special here, now it's becoming really weird... Ok guys, Sir, let's move out before the this fool wakes up. "

Leau finally takes a moment to brush a hand at his horns in a check for chips and cracks. Satisfied, he settles into arranging his braids back into proper place and teasing the flattened ones back to shape. "You're welcome, Lex. Figure I owe you for keeping more of that from happening anyway. But this is..." He shakes a finger at the brain surgery. "Yeah. I'll leave the healers to that."
He clears his throat, and turns his head to Lezaka. "We stumbled across an attack in an alley. Having trouble sorting out who was who at the moment, but no one's getting stabbed right now."
