Gruumsh killed Corellon Larethian - replacements?

IMC, Gruumsh finally avenged the loss of his eye, taking Corellon Larethian's head in the balance.

I haven't decided how many other elven and orcish deities have died in the fight, but what would people suggest as a replacement Elven deity?

How about the triune goddess Angharradh (a triune of Hanali Celanil, Sehanine Moonbow, and Aerdrie Faenya), Corellon's consort and Queen of Arvandor? She seems the obvious choice.

Another member of the Seldarine would ascend, Angharradh has been mentioned as a likely candidate.

Back on the material plane, I'd expect a war of outright genocide waged by the Elves against the Orcs are retribution. Depending on the size of the orcish pantheon, outright godswar as the remaining Seldarine decide mass deicide is possible. The mortal elves calling upon human allies, and going to full-out war would be expected. High magic being thrown around, ancient epic elven archmages coming out of retirement, big bounties on orc heads, just about every adventuring group on the planet getting commissioned by elven courts or their human allies to level orc settlements and fortifications.

Grummsh might have finally killed Corellon, but he'd suffer in the long run as about 95% of his followers are brutally killed. Even if it takes centuries, the rivalry between Orcs and Elves would cross the line into eternal genocidal hatred, no orc left alive and half-orcs would probably take a lot of casualties. A sort of cold war/balance of power scenario would have gone hot, sparking essentially a world war in a D&D setting. An elven leader or champion in this war could even ascend to join the Seldarine afterwards, keeping the numbers of the Seldarine constant.

Of course (it's right in front of me) So maybe Gruumsh killed off Corellon and 2 of the Triune, but Sehanine survived.... hmmm...

That might be a good vibe for the elves in my world... longing for the distant past.

I'd say Sehanine Moonbow. And maybe Lolth will hate it that Gruumsh took out her enemy, and the drow will start siding with the surface elves against a common foe. Of course, then the orcs will turn to the mind flayers for help...

Another opporunistic deity who has an agenda against Gruumsh finds a way to bring Corellon back as an undead god. Corellon then seeks vengeance.

Naw, the surface elves will be so focused on orcish genocide, the drow will be plotting on cleaning up after the fact....
