Guardinals! Help Needed.

Arken: It was something like that I had in mind, but I'm just looking for an animal that is awe inspiring enough to justify an epic guardinal. 'cause, let's face it, bats and dolphins aren't exactly what I would call awe inspiring, if you know what I mean

Hmmm, How about Zodiac or Constelation creatures then?

Taurus is cool. You could make a bull.
Or a Swan would be nice too, they are generally considered regal.
A Unicorn? Too mythical?
A condor perhaps? Or an Albatross?
A Kamodo Dragon maybe (a bit too much of an unpleasant creature perhaps)
An Alligator could be very good though and they do get very large.

How about semi-prehistoric creatures? Too much like saurials?

A sabre-tooth tiger could be good, or a mammoth or wooly rhino
Maybe avoid the dinosaurs though

Which reminds me of an animal from the same faimly : The Giant Panda. That's certainly a regal creature, you could do an improved ursinal.

Arken: Guardinals based on the chinese zodiac is an idea, although I pity the rat, rooster, and hare guardinals But only one of them are really regal enough to warrant an epic guardinal, the dragon... Alright dammit, I'm doing the draconal, but I'm warning you, it will be big, and it will be nasty, and it will have a breathweapon.

Ailuropoda melanoleuca. I don't know if that would convert well into a guardinal name though.

It won't unfortunatly, but it's good that the armadillo's latin name did: Xenarthralonal, a nice CR 17

They're close enough. Why not enter the arena of magic beasts for epic guardinals? How about unicorns?
