The only thing that could top that is a DM Screen that transforms into a Fighter Jet and a Dinosaur.

Except for a DM Screen that comes in two parts, one of which transforms into any animal and the other which transforms into any form of water, and that ships packaged with a monkey named Gleep.

Let me add my vote here for a D20 version of this shield!! I swear I would buy it in a heartbeat if such a thing was for sale! This is just awesome looking! Kudo's and pats on the back for all who came up with this magnificent piece of DMing goodness!

<<Dude, you guys are marketing geniuses. This thing alone makes me wanna run Hackmaster. >>

Thanks, but actually we suck at marketing. [snip]
We squeek by because you guys spread the word. If we had some real slick marketing types, we could probably sell triple what we do. But until then we'll have to be satsfied being the best kept secret.

;)

Thanks again for all the kind words!

David

Word of mouth marketing is still marketing. And a heckuva lot cheaper than most other kinds. Even if you did sell triple the amount, you'd probably spend 70% of that on excessive marketing.

Kalamar DM screen coming too!

Hey folks!

Just wanted to drop in and thank you for all the kind comments. Working on the layout of the Shield was one of the hardest things I've ever done in all my work so far at Kenzer and Company. Honestly, though - it's been the most rewarding experience. I can't wait to get my copy -- and I don't even GM! I just want to sit at home with it on my computer desk. Ahhhh.

As for the oversaturated colors - that happened because I got a little slap-happy adding all the rich color (I was honored to get the chance to color the Fraims wonderful art - and I really didn't want this thing to fade or look cheap). Also, the lamination process deepened all the colors more than I expected (which actually worked great for the full-color Alignment wheel - it is the most beautiful panel). I'll plan better for the next one...

Which leads me to admit that yes, there will be a Kalamar DM screen - it's on the schedule for later this year. Don't worry - I'm on it (as I'm sure Dave will be too!). Also, all the kudos go to Dave for arranging the tables and information on the panels of the GM Shield in logical order. He rocks, plain and simple - and the Shield does too. So go to your retailers, friends (new and old!) and ask for it by name - no matter WHAT your game - get a look at this HackMaster GM Shield (no flimsy screen for you!)!

Thanks,

As a d20 publisher, you guys have NO excuse to avoid making a d20 shield of such extraordinary magnitude!!

I know this has been said ad nauseum, but Kenzer is not a d20 publisher. Now, they COULD make a D&D screen for Kalamar of the same magnitude as the HM screen.........WELL! IS IT DONE YET! ;)

Seriously, I would LOVE to see a screen like this KoK!

Will it transform into a dinosaur?

All I can say is HOODY-FRICKIN'-HOO!

URL errors

I have to agree, the GM shield looks great now that I managed to get the web tour working, sort of...

Naughty, naughty Kenzer: spaces are not allowed within a URL! For the longest time, I couldn't get anything but the stupid "broken image" icon. Then I noticed all the image URLs are like this:

http://www.kenzerco.com/images/rpg/hackmaster/gm shield tour/gms_01_front.jpg

Notice the spaces between "gm shield tour". If you want to make sure everyone can see your work, please use %20 instead of spaces!!
