Half dragons - underpowered?

Throw an Enlarge on him and he spouts wings.

That doesn't seem right. I would think the bit about wings for Large half-dragons only applies if it's large to start with.

Well, they are pretty crappy wings - and you are "immune" to Enlarge Person - and polymorph will give you wings anyway. So the only way I see growing to Large or bigger without giving up your form is Righteous Might or Giant Size.

If you want to give up a 5th+ level spell to get wings for a few minutes - go for it.

You could Alter Self into a Dragon to gain flight, other movement capabilities, and maybe some Natural Armor. Granted there are not very many good low HD Dragons but you could probably find some non-core stuff that might work well.
