"Kinder" means "children" in german, BTW.
The DL half-thingies are Kender, tho.

I like the lithe lil 3E halflings without the Kender attitude.
Hobbits belong to Middle Earth. But Hobbits are cool, too.

I really like halflings and don't think they belong on any kill list. Can't stand kender, and unlike the poll suggests I don't see of the 3.x halfling is any closer to them then the AD&D 2nd Ed halfling was.

I can't really see a difference between Tolkien's hobbits and 3e's halflings. Really. I just see 3e halflings as Tooks.
