Yep. I won't buy any more 3e stuff unless it's something I absolutely must have (like a Fiendish Codex 3) until I'm sure whether I'm moving on to 4e or sticking with 3.5.

I'd been planning on buying Spell Compendium, as I'm always using my friends' copies at the table, but since it's going to be obsolete in less than a year, I'll take a pass.

I've bought a bunch this summer, and I was already pretty much done. The only book I was seriously considering is Stormwrack, which I still could get if I see it. I won't likely be buying much 3.5, 4e, or anything else for some time.

Yes and No.

I was done with most of my 3e purchases, anyway. I was thinking of getting Pathfinder and some of the books I missed along the way, like Heroes of Horror and Bo9S, but now will pass on those since it looks like 4e is going to be a revision I like.

I'll probably fill the void with some indie game purchases I've been eyeing like Burning Wheel and Dogs in the Vineyard.

I was planning on buying the new Castle Greyhawk adventure, all the way up until I found out 4E was coming. It would have been my first WotC purchase in about 2.5 years. Decided to take a pass since I'll be buying a lot starting in about December.

c'mon buy it!

1) its great

2) its the only way to convince WOTC to do more greyhawk stuff by having it sell like hotcakes

4e coming out is going to be great for me next year when people start selling all their 3e and d20 material to the local FLUGS. By used gaming books is the best way to go, and I'll be able to get tons of old game books for cheap.

Since I'll be staying with 3e for the foreseeable furture, I'm going to be buying mainly d20 System books I've been considering for my 3e games. The really good sourcebooks, from the best d20 gaming companies (i.e. Goodman Games).

I was looking forward to some of the 3e books coming out like Elder Evils and Dungeon Survival Guide, but after learning those books are not what I thought they were going to be, WotC can forget it. I'm hoping that Exemplars of Evil will be useful, but I doubt it.

It looks like Expedition to the Ruins of Greyhawk will be the last major 3e book that I purchase. I still have to buy DD2 and DD3, but those two modules aren't as important.

Really there were only a handful of 3.5 books I genuinely wanted. A couple of the "Races of" series, Sandstorm, possibly Cityscape.

If anything, this has encouraged me to increase my buying a bit. I haven't bought anything new since late 2005. Now I'm starting to check eBay for deals on these titles. And I'm starting to think about if I can afford both $10 for DNDinsider while I'm still feeding my $15 WoW habit.

And all the online talk has me excited about playing again. When I moved up here, I was completely separated from my group. Bad news for all, since I DM'ed quite a bit.
