D&D (2024) Has the new PHB reveals made you want to stick to an older edition of D&D, or to move onto a 5e-adjacent RPG?

For all of you who have read and watched the new PHB reveals and felt that the 2024 D&D isn't for you, has the reveals made you want to stick to an older edition of D&D (which now includes 5e) or to move onto a 5e-adjacent RPG?

I'll be sticking with 5e until my group finally finishes up our current adventure, whenever that might be. 😋 After that, who knows?

I have not played 5e since 2019. Did not see anything in the new PHB that would bring me back to 5e. Valiant, Pathfinder, Shadowdark, and 5e Nimble are just variations of the same thing to me. Retired with a fixed income makes you reevaluate FOMO and overspending on shiny new games.

Currently, I'm dabbling with D&D 3.5. It's fun to revisit as a solo player but like all D&D editions I revisited in 2023, I know it won't last. I'm done with D&D.

Fantasy AGE and Dragonbane are the fantasy games I play solo and with the group. I'll stick to those for the foreseeable future.

I never played very much of 5E compared to how much I played AD&DII, 3E and 4E. Nothing I have read so about the new version so far has changed that. They did a .5 edition like with 3E. Basically they changed just enough so so that most people will feel the need to buy the new books but didn't change the fundamental problems I have with 5E.

Add to that I by now have a really low opinion of WotC. So when I want to play something 5E like I will buy some of the alternatives available now. At least then I don't feed my money to a company with unsavoury business practices.

It was the playtest more than the reveals. The reveals did not make much of a difference, if anything they show some stuff that is interesting that the playtest did not, they do not show any new reasons to not get it.
