I would prefer 3rd party publishers have a full and complete set of rules to work from, rather than an incomplete pre-playtest, pre-edited version. Getting "something out the door right away" is not necessarily better than "getting nothing out the door right away", if what they get out the door early is sloppy stuff based on an earlier draft of the rules.
Bad third party products hurt the hobby in general, and third party products tend to be bad when they are based on the wrong rules set.
So I am happy if there is going to be a delay of a few months between the launch of 4e and the third party products. There is no rush in my mind. Being patient in this case gets better results. Trying to race against competitors to be the first 4e third party products doesn't sound like a good way to make quality products.
