Have an Oathbreaker Paladin Question

Got a question...

To be Adventure League compliant... to play an Oathbreaker Paladin does one need an official certificate or can a player renounce their current Oath to become one?

If a player does need a certificate, does one exist? I have seen a certificate for the death domain in the DMG a few years ago but I never seen an Oathbreaker certificate.

If an official from the AL team can comment, that would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Not official, but you cannot play an Oathbreaker.

The Death Domain clerics that exist are very highly restricted, and all are certed (a reward given for some service or other to the AL community IIRC).

Maybe at some point in the future Oathbreakers will get the same treatment, but again I would expect to be very highly restricted.
