Have you ever played a fighter-type with an 8 in Strength or Con?

I was just wondering; partly because of the 'stat-tastic' thread. Has anyone played a fighter-type (paladin, ranger, barbarian, fighter) with an 8 in Str or Con? An 8 in Dex is understandable if you want to go armor-heavy, but I'm just wondering if anyone has ever dumped these prime stats for a combat-focused character.

One of my characters is a swashbuckler type elven fighter who had an 8 con until later in his career when he was able to boost it. Of course, he is really hard to hit, so that wasn't as big of a disadvantage as it might have been.

Yes, but not seriously.

In my old Kobold Kwest games, the highest stats in the whole party were a pair of 13s. Most characters had a 9 as their highest stat.

No, but a friend in one of my games played a dwarven crossbow specialist fighter with a STR of 10, and it could just as easily have been an 8. ;) He had fun with the character, but he wasn't as effective in combat as a high-STR melee fighter or high-STR composite bow specialist would have been.

Edit: haiiro tired. Grammar/spelling poor.

one PC in my campaign has an 8 con. he's a half orc fighter/monk

he trys not to get hit.

some of you may remember the threat on this character a while back...

I think I've played a fighter with an 8 Con. It was a low point buy game, and I was planning on using a reach weapon and spring attack most of the time, so I didn't worry much about HP.
