Have you noticed something? Wizards is listening!

When I think back over the messageboard conversations over the past several years, I can remember several complaints about Wizards products that would keep on coming up.

I know I surely felt listened to (which was a nice change of pace) when 3.5e came out... Most of the changes that I outlined for the Ranger class actually went into effect... although they got Evasion instead of the Uncanny Dodge that I said they needed to be the equal of Rogues in scouting...

You might be thinking of FFE, not FFG.

I was thinking of Jim Ward and the rest of the guys at Fast Forward. I know they are often confused with Fantasy Flight, but are you saying there are two different Fast Forward companies?

Don't lose any sleep over it... ;)

I doubt they're gonna do anything for Greyhawk other than swipe the deities out of the setting...

Yeah Charles Ryan pretty much killed that idea. WOTC gives Greyhawk lite and no fluff content to the Living Greyhawk campaign apart from the web articles now from Creighton Broadhurst. We'll have to wait for Erik Mona to get a job at WOTC and hijack the D&D team :)

I miss the Spikey look early 3e had. We poked fun when we saw it at first and we kept poking fun, wotc ditched it, but now i miss it.

i also wish armor spikes were more useful. Something [ex]Constricting you should take the spikes+its STR bonus in damage.

I felt as if, perhaps, they were listening a little bit too much to some shrill small voices. I mean I know there is probably a paladin or two out there who, under the gavel of a merciless DM, lost a warhorse or two. But was this really a rules issue vice a GM issue? I dunno... the whole pokemount thing still strikes me as bizarre and unjustifiable.

And, on the other side of the coin, I heard everyone and their dog state how they threw monk and paladin multiclass restrictions out the door... and still, they remained in 3.5 (fortunately, still easily ignored.)

I agree with this 100%. I would trad probably all of myt mini (rare of common) for minis that I can use for my character to display. Speakin' O wich, would anyone want a trade of such?

What do you have? What do you want?

Thanx ranger, always a help. So what exactly is the basis for D20?
To take a familiar D&D ruleset, fix it (like removing the gawd-awful Nonweapon Proficiency system & THAC0), update it, and make it an engine for almost all genres beside traditional fantasy.

No, it's just that what you quoted above mixed the names of the two companies, and I wanted to clarify it, so as to make sure people didn't confuse Fast Forward Entertainment (FFE) with Fantasy Flight Games (FFG). FFG has produced some really good material, and I just wanted to make sure the confusion you mention wasn't occurring. Not a knock on you.
