Have you noticed something? Wizards is listening!

I actually like d20 Past and hope there will be more volumes in the near future at affordable $20 price, m'kay? *snaps*

AFAIK Apocalypse and Cyberspace will both be in the same format as Past.

Well, at least you have two printed gun products on the market: Ultramodern Firearms d20 (by d20 Modern co-designer Charles Ryan) and Weapons Locker (originally meant to be published by a third party, WotC published it instead ... with OGL attached).

Ultramodern Firearms d20 is pretty neat IMO.

The next goal - with 4th edition - should be to stop contradicting themselves in future products and build guidelines, which they actually stick to. :)

Yeah, good luck with that one.

Holding of breath not advised. ;)

When the market for new feats and prestige classes runs out, its on to 4e.

Why do you think they have decided to glut us with core classes instead? ;)

More seriously, Wizards products HAVE been more focussing on flavor, but it's not a move that seems to be being greeted warmly. Which frustrates me a little. But I can't claim innocence -- I am using more of the recent "generic flavor text" stuff than I see most people here admitting to, but still, I can see the problem. How does one adress a generic campaign with non-mechanical content? It's difficult, at best.

I think that D&D, given its place as mechanical and meta-setting support, will always rely strongly on mechanical aspects for its supplement sales. If it's not prestige classes and feats, it will be something else. And frankly, I like PrCs and feats, and I didn't like kits. I fear what the next mechanical invention would be, but if it changes much, it will mean major renovation of my game, which I can do without.

Wizards does Listen - at least, some of their higher-ups still do.

Why do you think I remind them how much I like the d20 license every chance I get, and how much killing it for 4E would make me an upset buyer? :)

Got a point there. I don't mind the DRM, but charging the same price for PDF as print and just pocketing the difference is pretty much :):):):):):):):).

Just say no to print-priced PDFs. ;)

I second that. The OGL model is probably the biggest stroke of genius they had when they thought about D&D 3 - and I love most if not all changes they made, so this isn't a "one-eyed in the realm of the blind" thing when I speak about "biggest".

I have to admit, Sandstorm is the first WOTC book I bought since my 3.5 PHB. I was terribly jaded after buying umpteen splatbooks and then having them all flushed down the toilet by 3.5. I figured I could just stick to a few of the books and a lot of free stuff that's available on the net. There's tons of netbooks and whatnot out there, so why bother right?

Well, I picked up Sandstorm and I gotta say that I'm incredibly impressed. Not only is the book good for the setting, but it's fun to read as well. Instead of the old "More feats/PrC's/Magic" crap that they and every other d20 publisher out there seemed to be turning out, it's actually a nicely balanced book. If this is what WOTC is creating now, I think I'm going to start shelling out some more for their products.

You know, I read "Tshirt thousand members" here. Confused the heck out of my at first :D
Damn, someone else must have got my tshirt

Question is: Will they get enough money out of it to make a profit out of it. You know, most of those who originally played that stuff are all long dead or too old to game (or remember their names) ;) :p
Damn young whippersnapper, whatever your name is.....

:)
