When I think back over the messageboard conversations over the past several years, I can remember several complaints about Wizards products that would keep on coming up.

The ones that were most prominent:

* Too much "crunch", not enough "fluff"
* Too many books aimed at players, not enough good books for DMs
* No adventures

The problem with this is there were equal number of threads that wanted the exact opposite. It is not like we are a unified front all wannting the same thing. ASk each of the thirt thousand member and you will get thirty thousand different answers. Also, from what IO understand Wizards plans books years in advance so it is really hard to know if what we were talking about 2 years ago influenced what they are doing now.

We need to be careful. They might start listening to diaglo.

That would be awesome. A limited edition printing of the original brown booklets would be a fine item for Hasbro to sell.

While they are at it they should listen to bones_mccoy too and reprint the original AD&D hardbacks. It would be a way to get some money from people like me.

It's very heartening.

Somtimes these changes seem glacially paced, but I guess that's because they plan and create these products so far in advance.

I wonder if that means when the fickle role playing comunity starts asking for more rulesy books that they will through up their hands in defeat when they will realize they will have to hear about how they are not putting enough in for the next coulple of years. :p

WotC is listening, eh?

In that case I want...

Huge, Gargantuan, and Colossal Non-random miniatures.

Thank you. :)

Perhaps they can make real geneticly engineered monsterous spiders for my playes to fight. I could just send them out with some rusty swords and a couple of pillows taped around them with duct tape for armor. :]

Comon, geez you would think Bruce Cordell would have a couple lying around somewhere. :heh:

Bah, noone listens to diaglo. We all just say "uhuh" and "yes" and "sure" and pretty much ignore him. ;)

Question is: Will they get enough money out of it to make a profit out of it. You know, most of those who originally played that stuff are all long dead or too old to game (or remember their names) ;) :p
