Heart of Artifice: Part I--Engineered Enigma

*Elizabeth nods.*

"Thank you. This will protect everyone involved," she works out nondisclosure agreements, and everyone signs them--it's the standard form, basically just legalese to make sure nobody can loophole out of the agreement, but it is otherwise completely straightforward and there are no hidden or added clauses anywhere.

*Once that is taken care of, Elizabeth leads the group downwards:*

"We head to the Undercity. I do not expect to be assaulted, but there are ravers and other things down there. I will let you know if anything approaches. Do any of you wish to purchase weapons or equipment for this journey, or are we good to go right now?"

"Is there anything in particular we are likely to face should trouble come calling?" replies Aethelus setting his mind to the task rather than the awkwardness of the past half hour.

"Where we are going itself isn't a dangerous site, so at worst we will just face a random encounter on the way down. Of course, I would be willing to wager greatly that the Lord of Blades is not involved in this, but if Anvuss is right, expect constructs. In fact, since constructs were involved with the abduction, even though the Lord of Blades is not involved, the ability to fight constructs is probably useful."

"With the three of us along then, no construct stands a chance. Anything else..." nods Aethelus, running over a few choice infusions in his head and mentaly sorting his scroll collection based on assumed need.

"A weapon made of adamntium could have been enough, but I think we neither have the time or teh ressources to get one. And I think we all know a few infusion that could help too, so it should be correct. Let's go and let's stop waste time." tells Kharas.

"Then let us proceed," Elizabeth nods, happy to be on their way.

*The group heads towards the Broken Tower to proceed into the Undercity. Elizabeth glances in every direction as if expecting an ambush at any time, but they proceed relatively unmolested for a good stretch, until she raises her palm subtly.*

"My apologies, I had hoped we would not be assaulted, but it appears that a small gang of Ravers is about to descend upon us," she speaks softly, "They do not know that they have been spotted. This should give you the advantage. Remember, these folk cannot help their state of living or their mental condition...please try not to kill them if at all possible."

(OOC: Anyone want to take any specific action?)

OOC: Do we have 1 minutes :\ I would cast Weapon Augmentation, personal on my heavy mace to gain merciful ability (+1d6 damage, all damage are subdual)

Aethelus quickly thumbs through his scroll pouch for a mage armor scroll and casts it on himself.

(ooc: UMD37 he has more plans depending on how much time there is.)

(OOC: 1 minute is overly optimistic ;) I'll wait for Anvuss and/or anything that can be done quickly from Kharas. I'd save the consumables usually, myself, but then, I know you guys have oodles and oodles of scrolls  )
