Can Anvuss return to his previous hiding spot from here, and drop prone as he had before?

(OOC: No--there should be another dropped on the body of one of the guards that came out after Kharas. Do note that any cover Anvuss takes will also be cover for his opponent against Anvuss's shots.)

ooc: Generally, cover is less of a problem when you're right on top if it... that's why arrowslits provide an advantage to caste defenders. Certainly, though, we can both benefit from cover.

ic: Anvuss will grab up the crossbow (move action) and head for the nearest cover (move action.) If he can get there, he'll drop prone (free action.)

(OOC: Yep that's true about arrowslits--but as of last time, the cover he's been getting was from dropping prone behind a pillar--and that's going to give them both cover. Before you pick one up, it will take one round of sprinting 60 feet back to move to where the guard dropped the crossbow. Doing that?)

Anvuss can get back to his previous spot in two rounds, where there is a crossbow, or spend one round getting a crossbow and not be in cover? He'll head back to the pillar.

(OOC: Yup--one major issue is that he can't really sprint to cover because of the straight line rule. So he has to do a zig-zag sort of thing)

*Anvuss zigs on his way back to his old hiding spot. The guard fires but misses him. Anvuss then zags and reaches the spot.*

(OOC: Alright, he has spent all his actions in the second round to get there. He can drop for free though. That good?)

Yep, drop at the end of this round. Then pickup the crossbow and fire it next round, as long as it's a simple enough mechanism not to need study.
