Help! I'm a Paladin and my goddess is dead

There is such as spell called Nightmare, you know. It isn't that hard to find some way of casting it on FR...

I would say more, but then I would loose control and stab someone in the face, metaphorically and perhaps literally. So I'll just leave it that and see what happens.

Consider this: It is a test of your faith. Evil beings are trying to turn you from your chosen faith.

Consider this: if your DM has read Terry Pratchett's Small Gods, your god may have been hurt, killed, exiled, etc., and in dire need of ONE whose faith is so strong that it helps the god regain her divine status...

Consider this:

Cyric is playing mind games with you and wants you to become his champion.

Or if Sune is dead, become the new God of Beauty, love and passion.

Only NG not CG! ;)

Or the evil gods and their worshippers could have been systematically hunting down followers of the god she is supposed to follow in an effort to deny the true goddess followers, so much so, that she concocts a plan with a lesser, younger goddess, in order to call her first Champion in half a millennia.

It could happen. I cam almost guarantee it.

sounds like someone is trying to trick you into giving up your worship of Sune. A) could be Cyric B) could be a high level character who can send nightmares C) Could be Sune testing your faith.

Keep on the path of Sune. Continue to teach her teachings and follow her dogma. Find others who worship Sune and ask if they are receiving similar visions.

Cyric does not exist in the world in question.

The evil gods:

Younger: Talos, Loviatar, Malar, Talona, Sharess, Beshaba

Older: Achyra, Liart, Akrasia, Orcus, Shar, Bane.

The good gods:

Younger: Sune, Chauntea, Ellistraee, Lathander, Helm, Tymora, Ilmater

Older: Brand, Mara, Selune, Eldath, Lliira,

Well, I guess that pretty much answers that now doesn't it? ;)

Interesting though. Everyone's arguments above pretty much had me convinced that it was an Achyran plot.
