And since the above doesn't require a saving throw, you only need a wisdom high enough to cast the spells your using. Everything else can go in Dex to get higher INIT/AC/Ranged Touch, or Con so you survive that first hit if you don't get initiative.

Get through one round and that combo would kill anything save for undead... though I personally disaprove of it anyway. Basically this is the short-cut to getting Harm Banned or given a save in your game.

Well, anything that speeds up that process is a good thing. :p

Cleric. Ranged Harm. Quickened Inflict.

==

Fish. Barrel. Shotgun.

If the dragon is preparing for you, and is willing to be extremely unfair, it can use a Contingencied Heal, and nerf this tactic instantly. So come up with another, cause you might need back up!

Others have choked on this idea, but I like Anti Magic Field on a claw of the Great Wyrm. Grab, hold, end of spellcaster...

Good luck. And goodbye.

PS

I bet on the dragon. Even if you choose a white dragon, I'd still bet on the dragon. If prepared and played properly, the dragon would win every time.

Even if it lost init due to a multiple empowered cat's grace and was struck with a touch spell disintegrate spell with a DC the dragon couldn't make?

Or was hit on a single strike that hit an AC 30 higher than it's best that did over 3x as many hit points as the dragon had?

Because these are all possibilities at 18th level.

At 18th level in a deathmatch situation, sometimes initiative is the only thing that matters. And dragons aren't exactly known for their dexterity.

hmmm... I suppose if the DM is reading this thread he will demand his money since he is no longer just playing against Despaxas... ;)

Nevertheless, I'm sure the DM might be thinking of layering a Ghost template on the dragon (just using the MM, right?) and maybe giving it some magical resistance to sonic attacks. :D

Then again, if he isn't an Enworld DM -he might not be able to read this thread and could be caught blind. I know 6 (maybe more) DMs in my area that don't use Enworld... and not one of them even knows just how fugly harm or sonic damage is. It seems like people don't realize it's a problem till it's abused, and around here we learn collectively from a few peoples abuse.

I think you, kreynolds, Crothian, Caliban, Ruin Explorer and many of the people that have frequented the Rules Forum (past and present) account for a large part of my early and continuing education into the wiles of 3E... ;)

(edit - So, thanks for that, btw. :) )
