Help me choose spells for my sorcerer.

I'm playing a sorcerer in a new campaign. He's young prince (12-13ish) who's been wrongly accused of murdering his eldest brother (he's the youngest of three, and the middle brother is making a power grab).

He's currently 3rd level, and is going to hit 4th pretty soon (shooting for Archmage). I'm specifically looking for lists at those levels, but spell selections all the way up to 20th level are more than welcome. I've never run a sorcerer before, so I'm not sure what to take.

His current spell selection is thus:
0-level:
Acid Splash
Detect Magic
Mage Hand
Prestidigitation
Read Magic

1st-level:
Feather Fall
Mage Armor
Magic Missile

While I'm sure those are good suggestions, I'm not looking to buy a book to give me suggestions. I'm looking to tap the fantastic collective mind that is EnWorld. :)
