What one-word terms are there for psychological fortitude/resilience? Traits like 'willpower' can apply to attack or defence, as it were. I'm looking for traits that apply only to the latter.

I had some others, I'm pretty sure, but when I got back to the old document, Willpower was written there, and that just wasn't going to work out at all.
