Help me pick an 18th level feat for a elf rogue

I'm surprised nobody mentioned either Elusive Target or Power Attack. Elusive Target gives you a wide range of defensive options. Power Attack lets you actually try to hurt things you can't sneak attack, like golems and undead.

Don't know Elusive Target -- where is it from and what does it do?

And a lot of Rogues don't take PA because they'd don't have a lot of BAB to sacrifice anyway.

Elusive target is from Complete Warrior. Requires Dodge and Mobility. a) if you dodge target power attacks, he gets no extra damage. b) if you're flanked by your dodge target and another, you can make your dodge target miss his first attack and stab his buddy instead. c) if you provoke an AOO for movement and it misses, you can get a free trip attempt on the attacker with no return trip.

Power attack I use mostly as a versatility feat, for rogues. He's got the strength for it, and a 13 bab at 18th level. It's not something you use every time, but when your sneak attack isn't working, your damage as a rogue is often very poor. Hitting the elder earth elemental for 1d8+6 with your longsword is not terribly effective. If you're not going to hurt it, you might as well swing harder and hope to get lucky.

You know that Deadly Precision only gives 12% extra sneak attack damage on average? At least according to my quick calculation. I might be wrong though. So although there is a benefit, it isn't that great.. YMMV, of course :)

I'd go with Elusive Target or Spring Attack, because as said - you don't want people to be able to get a full iterative attack set in on you at that level.

Also, the possible synergy between Spring Attack and HiPS is ver' nice.

I agree with Crothian. Spring Attack allows you to keep yourself alive. Move in, get off a single sneak attack, get out of there before they can attack you. Imp. 2W fighting is good for that extra sneak attack. You have an alright AC for that level (in typically powered campaign), so maybe you don't need spring attack to keep alive.

Hmm, you might dual strike. I don't have complete adventurer in front of me, but that let's you attack with both weapons as a standard action. Maybe you can get off two sneak attacks that way, but I don't the feat in front of me.

Elusive Target is NICE. Even if all it did was negate power attack damage on you, it'd still be worth it.

Spring Attack also; any sort of CR 18 creature can probably drop you if it gets more than one attack into you.
