Help my failing memory

In either 1st or 2nd edition there was a book (Fiend folio, DMG, Monster Manual II) that had a series of tables to roll on the create a fiend. does anyone happen to know which book had that?

That is it alright. Impressive that you knew it off the top of your head. I love the first edition DMG.

The 1e DMG is a treasure trove of inspiring tables.

The 1e MMII also had a Hordling creation table, if I recall correctly.
