Help my Fighter - Suggestions welcome

I don't have a link, but to mark something, you have to attack it. The damage to another target isn't an attack, it's a secondary effect that occurs if the original attack hits.

Guys, thank you so much for the help so far.

Answering some of your questions:

-I'm interested by your decision to wear Scale instead of Chain, and thus forgo the extra damage that Battlerager Vigor would grant. Does the extra 1 AC really make that big of a difference to your ability to be a defender?

-Dan'L

No it does not... its more a roleplay issue: my character was already being played before Martial Power came out, so I was already using scale mal and a battleaxe.

To be blunt I suspect my DM cheats on his dice: almost every attack hits me even if I have a AC=20 at 3th level.

On top of that I love the freedom of movement that scale mail provides... no penalty... tecnically I can even swim wearing it with no penalty.

And I started the game with a battleaxe that was a gift from my uncle, another example of roleplay issue.

Pls fellows keep the suggestions comming, they have been very helpfull.

Regards,

Sage

Jeez... is this official? Cleave does not mark 2? If this is the case we have been playing wrong.

Help me here guys... more suggestions?

I can see where you might have thought it would, but there's no "attack" line for the second target. It simply designates that a second creature adjacent to the first "takes damage" if you hit the first.

That's an important distinction.

The best way to mark two is to use attacks with secondary targets, either on hits or even on misses. Or... (And I think may people miss this one) ... mark them as you take OAs against them.

20 AC is not overly high for 3rd level, to be honest.

If you are married to shield and 1h weapon I'd go with a craghammer or a waraxe, remember to take the associated feat at Paragon tier.

I *personally* am not a huge fan of cleave, since it is kinda situational, but as your other at will is fine I won't nitpcik. I like the fighter in our games take, he has tide of iron and footwork lure, allowing him to push or pull whomever he hits.

Have you looked at dwarf stoneblood? Good feat?

Also, I don't get when you say that you don't use chain because you already were playing this character when martial power came out, yet he is using a fighter build from that book? If you will retrain his fighter build, don't be afraid of changing his preferred weapon. That challenge attack you get on marked baddies should *hurt*, and you can't pass up opportunities to pile on the hurt.

Yes, will do. I will have to reason with my Dm, since I already use a magic battleaxe from lv 1 (my character does not know its magic, and it has zero bonus so far).

Amazing feat.. so good that I once considered it a bit unbalanced. thanks for remmembering me!
