No, no, no. We do not put Old Yeller to sleep in fantasy games. Old Yeller receives a Cure Disease. Or an atonement. Or divine intervention. Or whatever is necessary.
Well, that assumes that Old Yeller doesn't have class levels in Rabies.

Think of it as entertainment...

Games as entertainment? Whoadthunk it...:)

No, this is more my experience with the FB, too. "I'm gonna have fun!" And that's not something I usually am eager to put the kibosh on unless people have serious issues with his fun. The rest of the group did say "As long as we kill him if he turns on us, it'll be fun."

They may not think that way when the FB kills one of them before he's put down. Its really not a question of if, its a question of when...

Eh. By the time the FB's in the campaign, the cleric can raise them from the dead. I think even if the FB said he was sorry and paid for the res, he might even be allowed back *into* their good graces. They weren't so invested in their characters that they feared the grim spectre of true death, either...sometimes folks die, and the players were all pretty okay with that at this point.

FB is fine. There are ways to handle it and deal with it, and unless everyone is freaking out about it, who cares? in my group, no one would complain if we had a FB. In fact, my last character, a H-O Barb, almost went FB.

Don't heal him the first time he goes into deathless frenzy. Chances are he will die when the frenzy ends. You don't have to kill him, but you don't have to raise him from the dead either. ;)
