Although it may seem complicated from the many posts on this site, D&D, at its core is quite simple.

First you need an altar. Then you need a small animal to sacrifice (preferably a Black Lamb). Then you need to change your name to Blackleaf (the Thief).

By doing this you will gain all manner of arcane powers which will only be effective when you play D&D with your friends under the local college sewer system.

There's more than that, of course, but this is the essence.

Ok, it's well, no it's actually, hmmph. It's sorta like, well not quite. Oh bother. It's too much! There isn't a single correct answer to that question...

Dungeons and Dragons is a Role Playing Game. It's a system of make believe to tell stories with your friends in a little more realistic way they playing pretend. It can be like improvisation character acting or wargames, depending on what the people involved want. It's also an expensive hobby that has many of us trapped in its grasp.

In case you could not tell Elleia, gfunk is joking. :P

Come on be nice to her, we might be able to get some more new people interested in Dungeons and Dragons.
