D&D 5E Help with power gaming

Maybe not a bare-bones table, but the mechanics that are used to get the totals. Sneak Attack, Smite, bonus action Attack / Spells all add to what you can accomplish with one die roll / blow.
With 40 levels available, you should be able to add many neat tricks from many classes.

Is your DM going to allow you to stack all Extra Attacks from multiple classes (in contradiction of the base rules)? If not, you don't want ClassXYZ 5 over and over again.

Can't find any DPR tables here, will look elsewhere online. Yes Extra attacks and Fighting styles will stack along with some other things.

I really hope that the DM for this campaign is intending to make the social encounters and the exploration deadly, not the combats.

If I was going to do this, I would probably go Paladin 20/Sorcerer 20 or Paladin 20/Bard 20. Either one of those combinations would just be silly powerful.

I understand that you don't want a caster so I would stick with Fighter 20/Barbarian 20 as I said before. This combination would be a ridiculous melee monster. Battle Master is always great, but I prefer the synergy Champion would give you with the Barbarian with the crits, extra fighting style, and regen 12hp at the start of your turn. You could take the GWF and Archery Fighting styles and not have a weakness. Or Dueling and go S&B if you REALLY want a silly high AC(22AC without shield, 24 with). I don't think I would go Polearm Master. I'd use a Greataxe and take GWM, Sentinel, Alert, and maybe Lucky and/or Mobile assuming you're going to have twice as many asi chances as normal.

I still think the Paladin is the strongest class and a Fighter 20/Paladin 20 would be extremely good too. You could ignore spells and just spam Divine Smite. All of the Pally's Auras are very strong. The Devotion Pally adds Charisma bonus to attacks so you could completely cancel out the -5 to hit from GWM assuming 20 Char. Oath of Ancients Pally + Champion Fighter would regain 20hp at the start of every turn. Your party needs at least 1 Paladin 20 IMO. Hell, you all should take Paladin 20 and choose a different Oath so everything would be covered haha. That party with be nigh unstoppable.

It just occurred to me how awesome Tempest Cleric 20/ Storm Sorcerer 20 would be............ lol

And does Warlock even count for multiclassed spellslots?

No, Warlock doesn't count. A warlock 3/wizard 5 gets the slots of a 3rd level warlock and a 5th level wizard. As opposed to a cleric 3/ wizard 5 who gets the slots of an 8th level spellcaster.

But you can still use the warlock slots for anything you can use slots for.

Be a barbarian warlock bard ranger fighter paladin.

Get paladin to 11 and every other class to their first extra attack.

Lots of spells. Rages battle master dice.

Alternatively a level 20 barbarian with with fighter 5 paladin 5 ranger 5 monk 5 could be very impressive too

I think the first build plays through the game better. The 2nd build is better later IMO

I haven't played yet a Paladin, Cleric or Sorcerer so i will look into them, i didn't know Paladin is supposedly the strongest class in 5e.
20 Barbarian/Fighter seem really good, especially with Half-Orc race but i'm wondering if pure attacks with crits are better than having less attacks but more damage dice from stuff like Sneak attack, and is it worthless to take Rogue to lvl 3 for Assassinate if you can instead take level 20 things from either Barbarian or Fighter?

Nice so you have normal spell slots and Warlock's highest level spell slots that recharge on short rest.

So in first build you would take 4 levels of Warlock?
And about second build, is Monk really good since he gets d8 or d10 for Unarmed strike much later?
Also why is it good to multiclass into a Paladin, any special thing that stands out that much?
Are both builds STR based?

Since he has the paladin going to 11th, he's definitely looking at the +1d8 damage to every melee attack from Improved Smite. And paladins are always considered strong damage dealers with the standard divine smite - so getting the extra spell slots for taking your paladin past 5th to 11th is a real nice bonus.

Guys what about this, i was thinking of another way to make a great melee character.
20 levels of Moon Druid for unlimited Wild Shape and to be able to heal with Spell slots, add Monk, Fighter and Barbarian to the mix for Unarmored movement, Extra attacks, Unarmored defense, Action surge, Bear totem for reduced damage, Flurry of blows and maybe improved dice for unarmed attacks from Monk.

What do you think about this? If i would have level 20 Druid, to what should i level other classes?

I was actually thinking how many things that I like can I pack into one class.

Rage
Bardic inspiration
Paladin charisma bonus to saves
Improved divine smite
Hex
Superiority dice
Temp hp on kill (warlock fiend)
Spells can be used for utility or for divine smiting while raging
Reckless attack

All on a chassis that gives you 7 attacks and a good chance for a crit for an extra attack with GWM
