Heroes: Season One

Due to money issues and location I do not have TV. Everyone else in the world does and had recommended HEROES to get on DVD when availiable.

Got it

My personal opinion - good but not great. The first couple of seasons of Lost and first three seasons of Smallville are kind of my recent high-water mark for this kind of supernatural sci-fi drama stuff, and I don't think Heroes is there yet.

After BSG decided to take a downturn around in 3s ep 56or so (never to return to that quality) Heroes has become our fave show, bar none.

I have no patience for Lost, which seems designed to never actually reveal anything it seems.

While I wish Rome was continuing, the production values of a big time HBO miniseries are pretty much impossible to beat by regular broadcast TV.

Heroes has my attention and I am really looking forward to the new season.

Heroes started out pretty good but as it went on I felt the story lagged badly at times. It kind of feels like the writers don't know what to do with many of the characters so they give them all face time so they don't have to do much with anybody. For me it didn't live up to potential.

I liked it and thought it was good, but, to be honest, the show would have been better if they trimmed down the number of characters and had fixed the pacing of the story.

Loved it! Got so hooked on the interweaving plot threads and figuring things out as it went. I agree that the cast could use a little trimming to focus a little tighter at times, but overall I loved it. Also, unlike Lost, Heroes posed alot of questions and mysteries but they also answered many as they went along so it wasn't as maddening (like waiting 2 and a half seasons to find out how exactly someones legs got broken!).

2nd season is coming next week and I can't wait. Hiro is my favorite and I look forward to seeing more of his story. It seems that they are going more international this season and adding in more new characters. I just hope that this doesn't dilute it even more with them trying to give facetime to all the old characters plus the new ones as well. We shall see.

Good show.

It has some problems (budgetary constraints, pacing), but those are small issues right now. Hopefully not that it's hit it pretty big, the budget for the second season will go up, allowing them to do some better fight scenes this time around.

Still a good show.

Loved it. I think some of the characters started off rocky (Niki and Matt in particular) and should have been more tied into the central storyline. Thought that the final fight should have been scripted not as a comic book, but as a TV show. Kind of feel that (spoilers)
it's a cop-out having Matt, Peter, and Nathan all survive
. Looking forward to the second season very much.

There were some deaths in the final arc last season...and from the looks of DL being absent from essentially every promo shot for Season 2 of Heroes - I don't think he made it alive out of the square either. (I think the writers prefer Ali Larter as a love interest).

As for dying cast members - I really can't see how this is a complaint. They were dropping like flies last year. it also appears that Linderman and Eric Roberts' weren't the only members of the Company to go down for the count in NYC last "November".

Sylar's not done yet...
