Maybe the more the supers are around one another, the more their powers develop. Monica showed no sign of any powers until she was in contact with Micah, however briefly. I wonder if her brother will activate through the contact, as well?
What if Hiro activated Kensei?
What is the connection?

The comicbook- Harbinger by Valiant Comics had two people with the "Omega Power". They basically had any power they wanted or had seen. What was significant about this was one, Peter Stanchek, could activate or allow full access to one's own powers if he touched their mind. Meaning- he saw someone faster or stronger than normal but not on a superhuman scale he could activate their power making them now superhuman.

I think he it also showed he feared becoming like his father by abandoning his family

More than anyone else, Matt Parkman is susposed to be the everyday normal guy to this. Playing doiwn his powers and also his dreams keep it this way.

Peter is the meek guy whom never had control over his life and was never someone. He now is super powerful and thus relates to the viewers that feel they are like this.

Its one of the things I like most- the show is more about the people and how these powers effect them than powers that effect the world. Much easier to relate to and enjoy.

Oh and I think if your power is muscle memory, you are pretty much required to watch hundreds of hours of Bruce Lee films, and then spend a good 3-4 hours surfing Youtube to dig up whatever you can find.
.

The comicbbok hero that had created in High School (Megamania) has this power and the government did just this. He had to watch 100's of hours of martial arts, skill training and other videos.

I'm curious if they go the same route I did with my character. Even as one copies / photocopies skills will you do this with personalities also?

Also with my character- the government forced him into extensive physical training to be stronger and faster than most professional athletes.

Photokinesis is one of my all time favorite super powers.

Great episode (finally)! With no Claire, Snooze Twins, and Sylar, I enjoyed myself very much. The scene(s) with Ando were particularly good - a nice way to ensure he's still included (though, of course, I would like to see more). Not enough Hiro, but you can't win 'em all. I'm particularly impressed with Monica and Micah - they seem really promising if they embrace the "hero" attitude...

Didn't care for that new blonde chick, though. Boring! And Niki still sucks (and, no surprise, her entire scene sucked too. Would somebody kill her already?)

So, with Matt's dad, we've got evidence of powers evolving over time.

Half-Baked Theory Fresh From the Oven: Linderman is the "Whitebeard" that Hiro is going to fight. He's not merelely a healer, but a regenerator like Claire. Regeneration powers evolve to grant both immunity to aging and the ability to heal others.

Not much to add here, as I agree with the consensus mostly. But I wonder about Jessica's attack on Bob. She should have been able to kill him before Mo finally got around to tazering her. So was it that she didn't really want to, or just bad writing/direction?

Edit: Oh yeah, and I guess this will end the speculation that Cait's brother is the 500 year old immortal. I always wondered why people thought that. If he were, then his sister would have to have the same power. (Or one of his parents, and she's his half sister...)

It was because the first or second episodewrite up mentioned Peter meeting up with a 500 year old hero.

One interesting point is the development of Parkman's powers. He's not confined to ESP and he has the potential to become a full telepath. With training and time, Matt Parkman could become Professor X.

Well, powers wise perhaps. I think it's fair to say that what makes Professor X Da Bomb is not simply his power - but the intellect and discipline behind that power. Maury Parkman seems to be a man of far more mundane and limited intellect and a smaller vision than the iconic Professor Xavier. I'd say Matt Parkman is a chip off the old block as well when it comes to that. The Parkmans are not supra-geniuses with uber-abilities, but average to merely above average minds with uber-abilities.

Unwittingly, last night Maury Parkman provided to his son the key to Telepathic Projection. It was Matt learning to SEND a telepathic thought which permitted Nathan the ability to snap out of the dreamstate.

I surmise that this first step on the road to the development of telepathic projection will also enable Matt to wake Molly from the nightmare.

Of course, we know meanwhile that Mohinder has placed Molly into another nightmare - and one that is no so easily woken up from - by turning her back over to the Company. They will not let Molly Walker go now, she's MUCH too valuable for the core of their bag and tag operations. The death of Bob will probably end up being the random factor that saves Molly from becoming the Walker Tracking System again.

I just wanted to add that given the track record of people interpreting paintings correctly, I highly doubt that it is Irish-girl with Peter in Montreal, and possibly not even Peter.

Oh yeah, and this episode also showed a progression of Matt's power.

Up until now it has only been reading minds. But he actually projected his thoughts to Nathan when they were fighting to tell him to wake up.

Edit: Ha, Steel_Wind was saying the same thing as I was typing this. :)
