Just remember, there's nothing preventing the rogue from hiding somewhere else. They get to attack, hide, _and_ move somewhere else.

Only a lazy rogue hides behind the same tree over and over, making it easy to corner them.

I just want to point out that in order to hide you need to be unseen. This usually means full cover or total concealment (Wood Elves and Lightfoot Halflings aside). Half cover is normally not enough to hide behind.
