Init should be +4. AC should be 10.

Hey, if we're making a fighter optimized against barbs, I see no problem with a weird barb optimized against fighters.

I can begin the match after our two contestents give the go-ahead.

Initiative has been rolled:

Mugly: 24
Ghengis: 21

spoiler for peanut gallery:
Them's the breaks. The guy with +4 initiative beat the guy with +12. You never know how things will turn out with dice...

Awaiting Mugly's actions for Round 1.

Should I email you them, or post them here? If the latter, what about if I'm invisible? Also, could I get info on the appearence of my opponent?

In any case, here are my actions for round 1:

Mugly taps his head with a wand
(wand of greater invisiblity) and moves 5' to the left.

Mugly's opponent is an elf warrior riding a horse and armed with a bow.

Are there any visible effects from Mugly tapping his head with a wand?

Ghengis laughs when he realizes the gnome thought this was a magical duel and brought a wand instead of a weapon.

So you went the mounted warrior/archer route, did you?

Anyway, Mugly is a puny gnome (even by gnome standards). He has a quite impressive cloak and three wands stuck through his belt. A pick is slung over his shoulder.

The mounted archer is arguably the deadliest fighter in medieval history.

Of couse, they didn't have barbarians armed with bandoliers of wands in medieval history. So we'll have to see how the gnome dual-wand wielder does against the mounted archer.

Ghengis looks fast, fast on the draw, but he is appearently distracted by something and allows the Gnome to draw and use the wand. (Contrary to those who thought Ghengis would fill Mugly full of arrows before the wand cleared his belt).

Of course, the nice thing about barbarians is that you can fill them full of arrows and they're still up and running.

Barbarians are neat in that they can actually win the battle and then die later when their rage runs out.

Of course, any magic item that duplicates "Wave of exhaustion" or "Calm emotions" is going to seriously ruin the barbarians day. In some cases it could be an instant-kill spell.
