Highest AC

Permanent Reduce Person: +1 ac. (would be +1 more with dex bonus if max dex would allow).
+5 defending armor spikes = +5
+5 defending longsword = +5

You can also try to pay somone to polymorph any object you into something with enormous natural armor in stead of trying to go with reduce person and small size.

I just dislike Tower Shields. Personal distaste, nothing more.

If you had mithril Full Plate, and a 16 Dex on your little halfling fighter, you could get AC 69 without the fighting defensively, etc.

Alter Self into a Trog (and have some Gloves of Dexterity +6) and your AC goes to AC 73.

Etc.

How do you figure AC 73 with the above?

Mithril Full Plate +8 AC
Armor Enhancement bonus +5 AC
Mithril Tower Shield +4 AC
Shield Enhancment bonus +5 AC
Dex 15 (Trog + Gloves of Dex +6) +2 AC
Natural Armor (Trog) + 6
Natural Armor Enhancement bonus +5 AC
Deflection bonus +5 AC
Luck bonus +5 AC
Sacred bonus +5 AC
Profane bonus +5 AC
Insight bonus +5 AC
Morale bonus +5 AC
Defending Armor Spikes +5 AC
Defending Longsword +5 AC
Dodge feat +1 AC

AC 86

Hmm... Another interesting thing popped into my mind. Lets say there are lots of bad dudes with bows shooting me and I'm not close enough to attack any of them, can I attack, say, my invisible wizard friend, or even the nearby tree, to gain the bonuses of fighting defensively and combat experties against those archers?

Add Dodge at leisure too.

Other bonus types that you don't have above are Alchemical, Competence, and Morale - I bet there's something for the latter two somewhere.

Oh, and I don't think you can both Sacred and Profane - it's one or the other.

Oh bother. I forgot write down Dodge. I was thinking it! (Not that it matters...) :) [EDITTED!]

The OP said core (so no alchemical), and I don't think Competance works for AC. Morale is good, though.

Although I completely agree that I would not allow both Sacred and Profane to stack IMC, that's not what the core rules say. (shrug)
