Does that mean the we can have free products in under our name again in the reviews database? (Or, this one in particular)?

Your not allowed to have free products under the review database?? News to me on that one. I'm accepting free products and plan on reviewing them till I hear otherwise.

Seems to me that Morrus wants to promote the PDF market, shunning professionally produced free product is a negative way to change that. Just because something is free does not mean it's crap.. or any less valuable than a 10 PDF from any 'major' publisher.

BUT

With the controversy Emerald Sage produced, I'm not sure... I certainly hope we can include them again.

That was the decision with ES1.. it was not commercially released.. and heck Emerald Press was not treated as a publisher.. we were given the cold shoulder by Psion at least.

We had the Emerald Sage under there for a week or tow, and were even given a 5 star review for it. But then people started kicking up over it... I can't remember the exact details, but Morrus removed free products from the database.

There was talk of maybe setting up a seperate database for free products, but morrus killed the idea.

EK have you seen Siege on Ebonring Keep by MEG?

I'm going to borrow some layout ideas from them. I mentioned it to Hal tonight and he was cool with that

Well, my third product I'm reviewing is a free one, so we'll see what happens. It's put out by Bastion Press, so not one of the small companies.

I'm sure It'll be fine.. if nothing else it allows me more time to work on my game reviews an the layout/art projects. Though I intend to continue school as well. I doubt i'll be laid up more than 6 weeks.
