So, we are playing an oriental adventure themed game. WE are traveling through the mountain foothills. I see some movement and investigate. There have been patrols in the area and I'm thinking it's one of them. We wanted to talk to them. Turns out to be some goblin like creatures. I get intiative, but not knowing their intentions go full defensive to see what they do. They attack, I'm hit by the first attack for 10 damage. I go down, I'm at zero. Onje of the other guys comes up, he missing them completely he gets attacked and goes to -3. That leaves are priest. He's going defensive as the three goblin things are going for him. He's going defesive and not doing well. I use a partial action to use some magical healing on me and my buddy. We get up and go help out the priest. WE win the fight but not before the other guy goes down again.

These CR 1/2 creatures had AC 17, 3 attacks one that did 1d8+1 and 2 that did 1d6+1. It wasa very tough fight.
