I loved Spirited Away. I took a date, who hated the idea of anime, and converted her with that movie.

santa barbra is to far for me to be able to drive. I mean, I could, but me driving is illegal after 12 midnight, whcih is in 35 minutes. plus, my parents would kill me dead. And then ground me for my next three lifetimes.

They can be useful. I don't know how I turned out OK, my parents sometimes did know if I was home.

Poor old Bill? Try poor old Sam! One of my good friends, who has never read LOTR, claimed that Bashki ruined the Two Towers for him because whenever Sam had dialoguehe expected Sam to only have four teeth.

on a random tangent, Kai Lord has posted a new thread on wasting time. My new Kai approved character has all of the charm as Bashki's Sam.

For me it was that Sam seemed an idiot and well, overly gay. That's not against the orientation, I just don't think it was right to portray him as a fawning lackey boy with bad intentions. (hyperbole).

So Sam was just a hideous troll, agreed? (Although this may be seen by some as disparaging to trolls).
Allow us not to forget the horrors of a Jawa-like Wormtounge seemingly fondling King Theoden. Or the seizure-inducing "time passes" technique, or Boromir the Viking.

I really enjoyed it as a kid (luckily I had read the books already, though I did not fully understand them) but as I grew older, I came to dislike it more and more.
