Skade, did you see my NINJAS in the Son of Portable Hole Full of Beer? I got a monk in a bear suit in there too :D

Those ninjas were yours as well! Pretty cool.

And I really like the bear suited monk!. It even had its own entry in the Tabel.

I hope automatons are in the same section as mistmancy...they're the same thing :)

sheepish...I was thinking of wee clockwork dudes. I picture the robot from Buck Rogers. "biddy biddy biddy."

Sorry. For some reason I think MISTmancy and I see huge towering dudes.

My brain is easily fixated. Thus, all bri-lonon are cat-girls, regardless of actual animal.

Thanx! The table entry for the funky monk made me laugh for quite a while. Still can't help but grin whenever I skim through.

1-2 - The Funky Monk arrives just in time. After
exploring this very dungeon / city / bank vault in
his bear costume, he has wandered upon the
party in their moment of need. The Funky Monk is
10 levels higher than the average party level,
dishes out some serious beats and then disappears
in a cloud of old bear costume hairs.

I love that!

Skade, Saire never came with that .zip of Burr stuff I sent you, did it? It ws hiding in the generic Geography file when I was making the .zip.

Wanna see Saire?

Is this the map? If not, then no, I have not seen it yet. Post away!

I know what you mean. I picture these towering brass clad manshaped machines, bellowing dark black smoke. One arm endingin a mess of whirling blades the other ending with a multi barreled cannon.

the other image is that of the clockwork manservant. Liveried shiny gold and brass man tanding inthe doorway carriing a tray.

Dockloader: An alien loader like contraption, dark rusty iron and brass.

( rivets alsways rivets :D)

You're not alone there. My players did the same thing when I ran the rudimentry Burr campaign a while ago.

That was Klinessi Ironfist's band, BTW (If you studied your history, you'll know what I'm talking about). :D

I love the imagery, Maldur! I think I just changed my mind on how I'm going to draw some of these automatons!

Oh, and I need some help with the laws regarding the sciences. Either of you want to add some to them?

Being Lawful-Cynical as I am, I'll take a look at it. We might also want more laws on weapons carried, magic use, etc.

Rivets are big in my metal image too, that and half shielded cogs, and springs, dripping with grease and the whirr of grinding steel.

Some of my best gaming was just a series of reallyintense cool images. We were playing a prelude for SLA and the character was a stormer ( bio-combat construct). We played two hour of non stop descriptive combat (almost realtime) it was awesome.

the droppod's doors open when you are still at a 1000ft. Your dropping fast. The mountainridge you look out at is backlit by electrocompresion warhead detonations. Missiles streak by, and the two droppods on the left flank of the formation are detonated in a ball of fire. The lights on your squads druginjectors flip to active, adrenalin starts pounding through your veins. 500ft.
The pod is still going full speed. The pilot lights of the flamethrower units ignite, their dsound lost in the roar of AA fire.
250ft. Firecontrol of the rifles switch on, and crosshairs are superimposed on the glasses flipping down in front of your right eye. 100 ft. The brake rockets activate and the dropship shudders as it pulls Several negative G's before slamming on the landing zone. You'r up and out before the ship completely slid to a hold.

etc etc for two hours non stop. It was great!!
