I'm doing OK. Its been a long day. I took the American Invitational Math Examination today. 15 questions, 3 hours. Geez, i'm tired. I mean, i love math, but after that, i was just fried. 4 advil, some orange juice, and a nap, and i was feeling fine. Until i checked my email.

See, I had coffee with this girl on friday, because I had no school and I met her at this bookstore with a coffee shop. (Common interest kinda thing). Anyway, she was pretty cool for someone i had just met, so i emailed her asking if we could maybe get coffee again saturday or sunday. Guess what i found out...

Now, before i tell you, you have to know that i'm 16, 17 in a week, and that i have NEVER ever been on a date, or asked a girl out. I sort of dated this girl at summer camp, but it was really different because we were friends before that. I've NEVER asked out someone i didnt know. Anyway, so i email her, and this is what i find out:

She likes women. She already has a girlfriend. Is noon good?

Now, i have absolutly no problem with people's preference. But it just sucks when the first girl you ever ask out is dating another girl. And she still wants to have coffee (which is cool, because she would still make a good friend). Its just... trippy.

That does seriously suck. My suggestion, go to coffee. It cannot hurt, and its always good to know more people. Don't get your hopes for anything more than coffee and conversation, but maybe she is not entirely sure about her orientation. I have known several girls go through a phse in college where they liked women, and then afterwards they switched sides. Stragely I have never known men to do this, once they choose they stick with it. Anyway, be her friend, you never know what will happen. In friendship, or otherwise.
