Unfortunately, yes. It's shortly before 3 in the morning here right now.

They're exams taken at the end of the 2nd year. They count towards my final degree, plus if I fail 'em I don't get into the 3rd year. And I'm taking them, not graiding them

School system (incl university) is very different round here.

Specific subjects. You choose 6 modules in the 1st and 2nd yaers from the history module list. 3rd year is slightly different, with 2 modules, a special subject, and a dissertation.

3 year is also the last year? (uni is usually 4 years in the netherlands)
