Holy Crap, I didn't do a *damn* thing today!

Slacking off is not as much fun as it sounds. Last Friday the network drive that contains 100% of my work was down *all day*. In fact, they didn't get it back up again until Saturday. I spent the entire day doing nothing. I would have given anything to have been clairvoyant so I could have scheduled a vacation day.

:D

Yeah, jobs where you do nothing all day on a consistent basis get old fast. Especially if you are not so lucky as to be allowed to go online at work. When our systems go down, there is nothing we can do but look at each other.

And yet we are required to continue to "look busy." So we pile some folders of work on our desks and push papers around when someone who cares walks by.

I also worked in a shoe department that was basically 4 to 6 hours of walking around the department. Bleh

I prefer to be busy, it helps the day pass.

15 minutes before leaving I'm thinking what did I do today?

Nothing. Nada. I surfed a bit, listened to some music. Ate. I got up out of my chair every now and then for a bathroom break and a drink of water. That's it. NO work! Nothing productive from the time I walked in to now. Eight hours..well...9 hours of just complete and utter slacking off. It's actually shocking the amount of absolutely nothing I did today. I might as well not have even come in!

Geesh!

It's workers like you that are causing the USA to lose its competitive advantage. ;) ;) ;)

Hey dude, a little disclaimer before posting links, eh? My mother-in-law almost saw those!

Yeah, a disclaimer would have been nice, MM. I opened that link up at work and pictures of young ladies in their underwear is not precisly approved of here.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go to the bathroom .....

Bah! You see that much skin in the Chainmail Bikini posts from GenCon.

But since this IS a gaming website, I think that Mystery Man should have titled the links "Sex Elemental". Because that's what Elisha Cuthbert is. She's comprised entirely of the element of Sex. (Sx with an atomic weight of "the bomb" for you Chemistry types out there)

Yeah, but I don't read those posts at work either. I read them at home alone in the dark at 1am with only my vodka to comfort me, like a normal person.

Well, I suppose. I mean, if you dig chicks who are five hundred degrees hotter than lava.
