They even mentioned it in this week's episode that Meleys was the fastest.

So I'm just going to have to assume Rhaenys got her bell rung in her fight with Aegon and had a moment of stupid. It happens in battle sometimes.

Maybe show how good the armor is as well?

We can "see " it happening in the room without looking at it. I guess I just don't have any need to feel grossed out. It adds nothing to the story at all for me. YMMV, of course.

It was a joke. An often bandied slogan of showing people not telling them in the television medium.

It's Game of Thrones. Sex and violence/gross are more or less part of it and has been since S1 GoT.
Understand it might not appeal but its been there since early on. It's basically an R18 show.

The bed scene with Aegon was pretty gruesome. I think the thesis of the episode was supposed to be "War is Hell, and Dragon War Doubly So".

We had the scene of the dragon head being carted through the streets, and then Cole gushing about his shellshock to Allicent.. (If he's Sir Criston, does that make Aegon Sir Crispy?) Several, very long shots of Lord Corlys mourning..

It was an okay episode, but it was a bit dull coming off of the one before. I'm not saying I need dragon fights every other scene.. but there were points where I was just thinking "Okay, I get it.. Lets move along please"
