I apologize if this is the wrong place to post this (feel free to move it, moderator), but I am wanting to ask, or have someone else who knows how to contact him ask, Mike Mearls if Adamantine weapons will be in an upcoming book (i.e. Xanathar's Guide to Everything) or will be otherwise addressed in a article, etc. It is annoying that they still haven't fixed this omission. Please, can anybody help? :( Thank you!

Out of curiosity, what is the omission?
Presumably, the fact that the DMG contains magic item listings for adamantine armor, but not adamantine weapons.

That said, we do have rules for adamantine weapons: They deal normal damage to creatures like golems, which are immune to damage from ordinary weapons. Assuming this is the only benefit of adamantine weaponry, it would be odd to devote space to it in the DMG. "This weapon is just like a normal weapon, but more adamantiney!"

On the other hand, there are no entries for them in the magic item tables, and that does seem like an omission--if you hand out treasure by rolling on the tables, you'll occasionally drop adamantine armor but never an adamantine weapon.

Craft a large mirror of purest silver and blackest glass.

Gaze deeply into it's heart until you are no longer sure which side of the mirror you are on.

At the stroke of midnight, speak his name in a loud clear voice.

Once for a question of the past.

Twice for a question of the present.

Thrice for a question of the future.

Ask one question only.

The price for more is too heavy for mortal souls to carry.
