How do I know when my community supporter account expires? I don't see an incept date anywhere (obvious) on user control panel, yet I do not wish to lose my all-powerful search feature.

I used to wonder that too. However, last year I came up with a way to always remember. I renewed my CS account as a birthday present to myself. 
I think it had already been expired for a month when I did it, but my access to the advanced features never went away. Regardless, I'll be renewing a few days before my birthday every year, as long as this place exists. (Which is a good long time, I hope!)

Well.. Now there will be a mass of people that'll have to remember when that "Enworld is going to die" fund raiser was so they can keep their accounts going.

Obviously this data is stored SOMEWHERE... but it's not readily accessible at the user level. Perhaps a new field on User Control Panel would be in order. (Or an automated e-mail warning you when your subscription is about to expire.)

To be completely honest with you, yes, they should expire after a year. However, I've never expired an account. I'm far too soft!
Also, and this is a bit of a problem, during one of the board upgrades all the the start dates got "lost", so I don't have a record of when the accounts started. So I'm left in a bit of a fix. If anyone wants to voluntarily renew their account (assuming they remember when it started!) I won't argue, though!
I have the records since the recent donation drive, though, so I will be keeping track of those ones!
[Edit - I have records going back to July 31, 2003, so that's the date I'll be doing it from.]

Morrus, I will gladly pay you each year for the resources of this site. You just have to remind me to do so. It's not that I'm a bad person, it's that I'm forgetful. The gas company has to send me a bill every month too.

But seriously, I'm all for a reminder some days before account expiring. It's far more reliable that leaving it to our memory.
