I'm intentionally starting a brand new campaign to go along with 4e rules. I haven't seen anything in any preview that doesn't work for me, so I only checked change nothin' and change my game to suit the rules.

I'd be really interested as to how you're going to work that into the powers set up of 4e. Sounds like it might be tough to do, but interesting.

I dont think it will be that hard honestly. same daily healing rate and before and shuffle the self healing under the rug. Or maybe give the characters one or two healing surges a day but not the ungodly number they have now. I'm sure it will take a little tweaking but thats half the fun of GM'ing to me so i dont mind the time tinkering.

I would ask you, as someone who felt the same way when I started running Star Wars Saga: give this system a shot. When my group switched to Saga from the RCR everyone had reservations about the new skill system, to the point that I began working the ins and outs of modifying the old skill system to work with Saga. But we decided to give it a try for a few sessions (mostly because I had been too busy to finish up my house-ruled system) and it works. It seems awkward coming in from 3.x to not have skill points and for everyone to be getting this "1/2 level bonus" to skills, but it is actually really good and allows for some really fun encounters that would otherwise be terrible for the players (I'm thinking here specifically of a jungle based chase scene in the Star Wars Dawn of Defiance campaign: not one of my players would have ever invested skill points into the Ride skill under the RCR, and, come to think of it, none of them did in D&D 3.5, either. This entire encounter was a blast instead of a lot of missed rolls and fudging on my part).

I have no doubt that it works mechanically and makes things easier on players. I just dont like it. Course i upped skill pts to where everyone gets a minimum of 4 per level instead of two so no one is quite as gimped as core 3x either.

Its more a style thing for me, i like having skill monkey characters an option and the idea that maybe u do need to get the rogue to pick a lock or the magic user to decypher the arcane script.

I was going to ask Hong what I should do on the survey, but couldn't find him. So I house ruled what I thought what he would think about what I should answer and I did that.

Concidering one of the main reason given for converting by a lot of people here was that they were tired of house ruling 3.5, and wanted to be able to play the game right out of the box, the poll is very interesting in its results.

I am going to draw big mustaches and mutton-chops on all the dragonborn. Viola, perfect.

Now I just need some 'alone time' to appreciate these scaley macho men as jeebus intended: with big mustaches.
