How have you used Chaositech in your game? (my players stay out!)

When I ran Zenith Trajectory for my group in Chapel Hill, I dropped in some tubes and vats, basically spare parts, in the storerooms above the entrance and gave Zenith a steaming battleaxe or something like that (have to check my notes on that one if I can still find them). It was intended to be the beginning of a major arc in my segment of the campaign in a way similar to how you've described your idea in post 10, only my source was the Church of Shar and they were giving it to Sembia and Archendale (who they had goaded into war). Of course, then I moved and none of this panned out. :p

I plan to use it in an upcoming campaign I'm working on. Basically, the Chaositech is technology leftover from an invasion by Cthulhu-like creatures thousands of years ago. They were eventually put into a dormant state but they wiped out a substantial portion of the intelligent humanoid races on the planet and scattered the rest.

Every once in a while, some Chaositech pops up in someone's hands and wreaks havoc. I'm also going to combine it with some stuff from Steam & Steel to for some pseudo-magical/necromantic/surgical nastiness.

Hi,

I've used it twice (in two different games). Once, in Freeport, in the hands of some Unspeakable One cultists; the second time in my epic game in the hands of demonic servants of Demogorgon.

Cheers
