I’m currently involved in three games.

First is my biweekly face to face game with my longstanding play group. I’m running Stonetop for them at the moment, but we’re nearing the end of that game in the next few months. After that, I’m going to run a short campaign of Teeth: False Kingdom as a bit of a palette cleanser (it’s a very tongue in cheek game). After that, I think I’m going to run a campaign of Heart: The City Beneath.

I have a weekly game that I play online with some folks from these boards. We’re currently playing Scum & Villainy, and it’s still pretty early in that game. Not sure what will follow, but it almost certainly won’t be any version of D&D.

I also have a weekly online game with my regular group. I’m currently running Band of Blades for them and that’s going well. Still pretty early in the game that the end’s not really in sight. Once we do finish, we may resume our Mothership campaign. If not that, then I’ll run something else that works easily online. Maybe Dungeon World in the Dark Sun setting? That’s as close to D&D as I’ll get in games I run.

The only chance of D&D coming up is if someone else offers to run our online game and that’s what they want to run. I’ll play D&D if someone runs it… but I don’t have any plans to run it again.

Added the option.
The new option doesn’t quite capture it, but it’s close enough. We played plenty 5e but got tired of it. Last D&D-ish campaign we played (about a year ago) was Level Up. One of our occasional GMs fancies trying 5:24 next, which should start in a month or two when I complete my Savage Worlds campaign.

No option will be perfect for every narrow situation. You could have also picked “our table will discuss 5e among other options.”

Too wide a question. I have a Dragonbane group playtesting the game. I love it and would definitely fun a campaign or five with that. I want to play more Pirate Borg and would love a campaign of that. Same with DCC RPG, Mothership, Classic Traveller, and several more.

Are there D&D-likes in my future, absolutely. Is there any brand-name D&D in my future, probably, but nothing current. OD&D, B/X, AD&D, 2E, and 4E. Not likely anything else.

“Our table will discuss 5e among other possible options” fits this.
