How long have you been a member of this community?

i originally posted a "what is a gencon" thread in either october or november of 99. i was then known as "elvibratoro" i think i checked the site every day between that day and june 2000. then i decided that the anticipation was truly killing me and i left for awhile. some time after 3e was released i found i had to re register myself on the boards. spam had caused an e-mail address change so the jollyninja was born (thank you wu tang name generator!) to unleash his half cocked opinions and house rules. erics departure made me leave again (what is a morrus anyway? :) ) but i came back one day this year with a rules question and even a complete overhaul of the site will not get rid of me. I'm on to your plan pally!

edit: i found it in a "dungeons and dragons" search on google. i was terrified upon seeing the words "third edition" and had to get rid of the terror. thieves with multiple attacks BAH! :)

Hmmm... One night while talking to my pal Ed (Fayredeth) he started spouting off these really cool sounding ideas about D&D seemingly at random. It didn't take long for me to realize that he couldn't type that fast and had to be copy/pasting them into the IM conversation. I was amazed at the sheer creative talent in whatever was being discussed--probably one of the hosted worlds and stuff. Anyhow, he played top-secret with me for a while, but eventually gave me the link to the site. I went to the boards, registered, lurked for maybe a day...probably less, then started posting.

That was probably January...or just early in the year of 2001. I've been hooked ever since. This site is a constant drain of time preparing for my D&D games... :D

Morrus and Piratecat--Nobody likes Piratecat...that crazy bastard. :D

I started lurking a few months before the PHB came out. Made my first post when Eric was redesigning the site. Although you would never know it from my post count, I lurk here at least an hour a day (lunch time fun).

It must have been in August 1999 or so. . . When did they announce 3e? Wasn't that August 1999? I think I heard about 3e on his site/board before the announcement. Ack! I'm no good with dates (I have trouble remembering birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). I can't remember! It's been a very, very long time. But I'm positive it was around then. I wasn't Doc_Klueless then. Don't remember what I called myself. I just was surfing around and :::Bang::: there it was.

I didn't post much. Maybe a couple of times. Back with Synaptic Dragon and >>>-Technomancer-> or whatever that irritating guy was. Mostly, I did then what I do now. Read the board when I drink my coffee in the morning.

I'm not a big poster but I visit this site several times a day since around September 99. Don't remember when I registered but it was to turn in a scoop ;) !!

I think I first found the site about 2 months before third edtion. I was on the message boards, but a lurker. When the baords were reset in January I had under a hundred posts.

Don't remember when I first found Eric's site, but it was before he moved to rpgplanet.com. I only recently registered and started posting, but I've been lurking for a long time. Not that I post all that often anyway.

Although you wouldn't know it from my number of posts, I was around when Eric first announced his site. Indeed, I remember famous rants from Synaptic Dragon (he who should not be named), and long conversations where Sean Reynolds tried to convince someone (who's name I cannot remember), that a number of 2e kits were broken, and that it was possible to fairly convert most other to 3e. (All of this, of course, took place on the OLD wizards boards, and rec.games.frp.dnd).
