How long have you been a member of this community?

Been lurking about the news page and what not for a little more than a year. Just started posting pretty recently. Oddly, I was directed here because I was looking for info on 3rd edition because of Neverwinter Nights. I had given up on PnP gaming after a string of bad experiences, and I wanted to get caught back up on 3rd Edition rules for the purpose of my computer gaming. Now, after getting reintroduced to the world of gaming by everybody here, I'm starting to look for a PnP game to get into again. Though I'm definitely finding it harder now that I'm not a student anymore. Suggestions, anyone?

Btw- These boards are far and away the most civil and mature boards I've ever seen. They're a credit to the species, and that, as much as anything, has convinced me that my previous PnP experiences were an abberation.

Lurking since around the start, posting since November 2000 (just after getting the final core book and just before a big message board upgrade). :)

:) Welcome, Forged Goo! :) (Great screenname...)

Let's see...

I think I started lurking in about April or May of 2000. it took some time before I started posting on the boards though, and I still don't post often... mostly because I spend a lot of my time trying to finish my Masters degree.

Early 2000...

I stumbled across Eric's site after first reading about the upcoming 3E in Dragon. I think it was April or May of 2000. I lost my identity when I relocated to Baltimore from Charlotte, got it back and racked up 1,000+ posts before Morrus took us under his wing.

My favorite 3E community by far!

I was a rabid visitor of Eric Noah's 3e preview since early 2000. Didn't start posting in the forums till right after the PHB came out. Used to post as Sebastian, but the boards changed during a period when I wasn't around, so I lost my name. *grumble*

Howdy!

I have been visiting since August, 1999 -- right after a posting to the WoTC D&D mailing list about a new site devoted to reporting rumors about 3E after it was announced at GenCon '99.

I joined the WotC DND-L list right after they announced the new edition and started the new list. If I remember correctly, I was pointed to Eric's site in the first week or two it existed (late August 1999?), and read the news page diligently. I didn't start reading the messageboards until sometime in 2000, and lurked until August 2001.

So, in other words, I've been here a while. Just been sitting in the shadows for most of it. And Henry certainly summed up my feelings with "C'mon, August!" Me, and a lot of others, obviously.

Hmm. It's all a blur.

I don't quite remember when I found Eric's site -- I think it might've been after the move to rpgplanet. I didn't read the boards for a while, and then I only lurked 'til either just before or just after the PH came out. I've mostly been around since.

I joined up on Erics old boards before they closed but re-registered my name on the new ones. So I'd say in the Summer of 2001 I first joined up.

Welcome all you Lurkers! It's fun posting to this fabulous site & great topics too of course :D
